Hammer Crime Continues Unabated

Obama’s failure to ban hammers continues to haunt America. Hammers kill twice as many people as rifles in the US.

A 61-year-old man is facing a federal felony charge in connection with the hammerpoint stickup Wednesday of an Anchorage, Alaska bank, according to an FBI affidavit.

Investigators allege that Alan Bronson Rice walked into a KeyBank branch and removed a hammer from a small backpack. When Rice placed the tool on the counter at a teller’s window, a KeyBank employee asked “what he was going to do with the hammer.”

After motioning that he would strike teller Houa Vue with the hammer, Rice announced, “I need your money. Give me your 100s and 50s. I’m gonna hit you with this hammer. Hurry up!” Vue handed Rice $1039 and he exited the bank at 2:40 PM.

If the pilot had a gun, those evil box cutters would not have been able to do very much.

Hey if the pilot had a hammer and the will to use it the evil box cutters might have faced a different ending . Although when trouble comes to me I don’t reach for one of my hammers . 🙂

If the cockpit doors have been hardened, they could never have taken control of the planes.

But in typical capitalist pig fashion, hardening the cockpit doors would have reduced profit margins a little. can’t sacrifice profits for safety. profits over people.

and who was paying for screening at airports? airlines. and who in capitalist pig fashion wanted to pay minimum wages for screeners, because that came out of the bottom line?
and when you pay minimum wages, you get minimum screeners.

      • Good thing pilots never have to go to the bathroom or talk to the flight attendants. Do you suffer a hard knock to your head at some point?

I really like bacon for brekky. With all this talk about pigs, I’m getting peckish.

Pat, yours is a typical witless socialist’s analysis. Today’s airlines pay multiple six figures for a single high tech pod style seat to attract/please customers. And you can ride in that seat at a price less than the fuel cost to drive to your destination.,,,, and arrive in hours rather than days.

The work on hardening the cockpit door was minuscule compared to this single feature, and many of an airline’s everyday costs. And apparently you didn’t notice, but hostile takeovers and 400 mph impacts are rather bad for business. Safety is critical to their success.

In the race to exterminate mankind, it is your brethren Komrades who hold the commanding lead – in excess of 100 Million victims.

Due to the lack of hammer, some felons are resorting to anything in the toolbox.
What next? License for the toolbox?

Screwdrivers are now one of the more popular weapons used during robberies in Australia since the 1996 gun laws.
