Apparently, Barry’s formative education overlooked some basic tenets of American representative government.
The posh Punohou academy in Honolulu missed it, the Muslim madrassa in Indonesia missed it, and especially his special tutor Frank Marshall Davis (Communist Party USA member #47544) missed it. His covert trip to Pakistan in the 1980s did not provide illumination, as far as we know. And, of course, Occidental College, Columbia, and Harvard Law would never think to teach this simple truth in the 1980s.
That is, winning an election in America does not grant license to RULE over objections of the opposition. Rather, victory confers the OBLIGATION to GOVERN by proposing policies, seeking concurrence from your party AND the opposition, and finding ways to accomplish things of worth for the entire electorate, not just your cronies.
Obama, driven by coddled self-esteem and raging narcissism, simply cannot see that it is HE WHO MUST COMPROMISE in order to accomplish anything. But of course, that only applies if he shares the goal of improving the lives of all Americans.
I have grave doubts about such a motivation.
