Phil Plait (who has become a bit of a global warming alarmist goofball) is citing the problematical GRACE (gravity measurement) studies. One problem is that this study doesn’t agree with other studies using different measurement approaches. The problem is that the actual measurements are presently so uncertain that MB (mass balance) could actually be positive rather than negative. (Although the probability is that it is more likely negative.)
