I have flown over Greenland about 100 times in the last 15 years. Return flights from Europe to the western US fly over southern Greenland in mid-afternoon, so you frequently get a good view of the ice sheet. I always make sure that I have a good view, because it is an amazing sight to see mountains buried under snow.
A few years ago my mother commented “It must look a lot different than it did in the 1990s” based on what she hears on NPR. I responded – “no it looks exactly the same. I can’t see any difference at all.”
Times Atlas says that 15% of the ice has melted, and NASA says that 97% of the ice melted this summer.



The number 97 must be have some sort of numerological meaning for alarmists, because it certainly has no quantitative relationship with the subjects to which they associate it.
