Twinkie Shortage Can Lead To Violent Behavior

Twinkies, the unpretentious, freakishly versatile and seemingly indestructible snack pastry dubbed “the cream puff of the proletariat,” died Friday of complications from economic reality.  Texas-based Hostess Brands announced it would shutter operations amid a debilitating labor dispute. Twinkies were 82.

  3. Now that the company is bust what actually happens to the healthcare plans and pensions of its 18,500 workers?

    The word of 18.5k losing there jobs doesn’t sound so bad when you consider almost every 7-Eleven, grocery store, gas station and convenience center has carried their products for decades. Add the Hostess truck drivers, sales middlemen and fleet support and we’ve lost 88,000 jobs!
