The “Rocky Mountain High” state aka Colorado – home to Americas’ two worst mass murders, Jon Benet, Ward Churchill and Balloon Boy – has produced yet another nutcase.
A 20-year-old Colorado man was arrested after he allegedly threatened to assassinate President Obama and go on a shooting rampage during a Halloween event at a local high school.
KDVR reports the Secret Service took Mitchell Kusick into custody on Friday after learning he had spoken of wanting to kill the president. Investigators say Kusick talked to them about the president’s schedule and planned to carry out the assassination during one of Obama’s campaign stops in Colorado.

peak oil!!! will run out in the year 2000, …. 2010…..2020….2030… depending on the story line we hear from back in the 60’s, 70’s etc…
Heh. Go back a bit more. The ‘peak oil’ meme dates back to the 19th century, and I don’t mean whale oil.
Balloon boy! Ha! I’d almost forgotten about him. I remember following the updates live on a co-worker’s computer as it was happening. Come to find out, the co-worker lived just a few blocks away from the balloon family.
