If you build a house in dry pine forest in Colorado which has historically burned about once every 15 years, sooner or later your house will burn down.

    Is it possible in those areas to build fire resistant homes? i.e. steel roofs, masonry siding, landscaping that doesn’t burn easily

    • Cars get melted by forest fires.

      It is possible to landscape smarter, and along with fire resistant materials survive these fires.
