Low information legislators make laws that force rational, thinking individuals to do their will. It makes the legislator feel good that she is doing good, while cutting off the options of intelligent, rational people to act as such. There ought to be a law that requires legislators to provide very good reasons for any law they propose! However, we know that most legislators never even read the new laws they vote for. The chief rule of legislation: The use of force should never be inhibited by the responsibility to know what the legislature is doing!
