Science Magazine Explains Trump Supporters

Apparently the problem isn’t the politically motivated junk science coming out of academia, but rather it is with the people who reject it.

“Although (Trump’s) success stems partly from a willingness to tap into xenophobia, sexism, racism, transphobia, nationalism, and disregard for truth, his message resonates with a large portion of the American populace who feel alienated from America’s governmental, social, and economic institutions.”

Hubris much? “Science” has been hijacked by corrupt politicians and a few business leaders for personal gain. (JW – MS Nuclear Physics, UNC Chapel Hill, 1979)

So they call us Garbage and talk down to us then wonder why we don’t like them.

  3. Most science funding has long come from the federal government. Scientists have become a special interest group of big government. Scientists get money and big government gets the results it wants to justify its never-ending quest for more power. This is a form of prostitution. The people have seen examples of the bad science that can result during the Covid 19 crisis and in the never realized claims of imminent catastrophe due to carbon dioxide emissions. The fact that scientists and many other elitist special interest groups have been able to take advantage of the People for so long is a good part of what makes them contemptuous of the People.

I spent the last two years of my Database Career at Science only to walk away from a $130,000 job because of corruption. The Senior Brass (Business Director and company Lawyer) at Science, wanted to convert Future University Library subscriptions into Revenue for Science without actually giving back anything in return. There is not really an accounting procedure for this, but hey, it can be done. They needed to fill a budget gap, so the librarians do not really pay that much attention anyway, so that is how that works. Instead of supporting Science they live off the Troff off Science. Instead of AAAS they should be called AAA$, the American Association for the Accumulation of $$$! The more you know!
