Biden, as president cancelled the Keystone Pipeline project forcing oil to be shipped by rail or truck which creates more CO2 than pipelines. He has retarded US production through increased regulation forcing the country to import more oil again increasing more CO2 pollution than domestic sources would have. He has also shut down the construction of new natural gas terminals that would have allowed the US to export natural gas to developing nations forcing them to continue to use energy sources that again generate more pollution (e.g. burning coal, dung, wood). Biden’s policies have created more pollution not less. It is time to remove politics from science.
