This is the coldest weather I have ever experienced. I am knitting little sweaters for the pine beetles today.

I believe Denver is averaging 30 degrees below normal so far in February. Kansas City, close to 20 degrees below normal.

Ditto (except for the knitting), it was -12 here this morning, and no real warmup in sight.

“Students and parents at a Colorado high school are outraged after administrators turned down their request for a spirit week day honoring America because it might offend non-Americans.

“They said they didn’t want to offend anyone from other countries or immigrants,” a 16-year-old member of the student council told me. “They just really did not want to make anyone feel uncomfortable.”

“The student council at Fort Collins High School had proposed having a day to celebrate the United States during next week’s Winter Spirit Week. The young people pitched “’Merica Monday” – and invited their classmates to dress in patriotic colors. Their proposal was promptly shot down by administrators.”

“They said they didn’t want to be exclusive to any other country,” a 17-year-old member of the student council told me.”

“The students and parents who talked to me about this incident have asked to remain anonymous. The parents feared their children might face reprisals from liberal educators.”

Plus it goes against the curriculum.

How is the biking today? Does dog pee freeze before it hits the ground at -10F?

  5. Bob Koss says:

Would those be pullover sweaters or Cardigan style with some fancy wooden buttons to munch on?

  6. Anything is possible says:

“They said they didn’t want to offend anyone from other countries or immigrants,”

Why on earth would any non-Americans be offended by Americans celebrating their own culture and heritage? Has anyone ever come forward and actually claimed that they are, or is it something that only happens in the warped imaginations of libtards?

      Warped Government.

This is what they are now teaching OUR MILITARY!!!

An FOIA document obtained from the Department of Defense entiled: AFSS 0910 EQUAL OPPORTUNITY AND TREATMENT INCIDENTS (EOTI) LESSON PLAN
      Has these gems in it:

      D. Extremist Ideologies
      1. Introduction
      • As noted, an ideology is a set of political beliefs about the nature of people and society. People who are committed to an ideology seek not only to persuade but to recruit others to their belief. In U.S. history, there are many examples of extremist ideologies and movements. The colonists who sought to free themselves from British rule and the Confederate states who sought to secede from the Northern states are just two examples.

      2. Ideologies
      a. Nationalism – The policy of asserting that the interests of one’s own nation are separate from the interests of other nations or the common interest of all nations. Many nationalist groups take it a step further and believe that their national culture and interests are superior to any other national group….
