It is interesting that he could not pronounce “legitimacy” (he said “legitimasly”) nor could he avoid the “g” sound in Guantanamo. (Many Americans have that problem, including his “60 Minutes” interviewer.) Obama’s clumsy “we got” is common enough; most people speak that way in such an informal setting as a nationwide television debate.
By the second clip, he was pronouncing “Guantanamo” better, though he adopts the pronunciation of whoever asks the question — sort of a “verbal Telepromtper.” But of course, he probably already knew during all of this that he was not actually intending to close it.

Still, the inmates are safer in Guantanamo Bay than out here. They don’t have to worry about cops and SWAT teams shooting them at all.
