The US. Environmental Protection Agency estimates that a six-foot sea-level rise would destroy as much as 80 percent of this country’s coastal wetlands.
Sea level has risen 120 metres over the last 20,000 years. All the wetlands must be at the bottom of the sea – along with the missing heat.

Wetlands move inland in retreat from rising sea levels
Isn’t all the land submerged under the sea wet? It would seem, therefore, that increasing sea levels would increase the area of wet land.
I suggest though, the EPA is making up things to justify their ever increasing reach of power and control over everything we do. It has absolutely nothing to do with wetlands or wet land.
The Army Corps of Engineers is a far greater threat to wetlands. I say let the EPA and ACE duke it out, may the best engineers win. 😉
I say abolish them both and sell all the public lands to the highest bidder. Use the proceeds to pay off the national debt.
Steady now, rash logical thinking like that will get the NSA/IRS watching you.

The best place to hide is out in the open and say things that look to them to be over the top crazy. That is exactly what I am doing.
My body is feeling its age and has no capability for hand to hand combat. I own no weapons but my mind and my ability to speak my mind with clarity and economy. They, on the other hand have the NSA, FBI, DOD, EPA, DOJ, countless Swat Teams, etc. along with a huge pile of war machines and ordinance. They can overwhelm me in milliseconds. All I can do is express my ideas. What harm can that do to them?

That is what it is going to take. Not a revolution with arms but with ideas. We are going to have to finish what our founding fathers started. This will take a complete philosophical and moral revolution to accomplish.
A projected 6′ sea level rise between 1989 and 2050. Includes all the skeers like “Florida will disappear”. I believe we are a touch behind the 28.8″ we needed by now to make 72″ of increase by 2050. Do you suppose this rise will happen all at once?
If the sea actually did rise and cover the existing wetlands, why wouldn’t new wetlands be created? My unscientific observations indicate that fish move with the water level on rivers and lakes. When the water rises they move to the former dry areas. I’d suppose the “wetland” concept has some play based on seasonal rainfall. But what do I know, I’m not an expert climate scientist?
Only wet caused by CO2 is harmful. It’s almost as bad as hotcold, or wetdry.

Any relationship based upon a lie is itself a lie. A lie is an attempt to fake reality in the hopes one can “get away with it”. In any event, are you sure you have a good enough memory to remember all the details of the tangled web of deceit you will have to weave to sustain your first lie? However, if you do, consider that all of reality will be your judge, jury, witness, and executioner. In the long run, you will lose.

Here in the Northwest, you could collect enough water from the roof of your house to supply your family all year long. There is tremendous groundwater. So any depression in the topography can fill with water, and thereby instantly become “Precious Wetland”. When you see such a depression on your property, or should you foolishly create one, fill it in under the cover of darkness ASAP, or the state will have you cultivating the weeds growing in it and feeding the tadpoles and mosquitoes gestating therein.
The cult of Gaia has chosen vile swampland filled with putrefied vegetation as holy, or at least, holier than dry ground.
Washington DC used to be wetland – perhaps it should be reverted?
