Steve, my 11 year old son had science homework last night where he was told that due to greenhouse gasses the earth is getting warmer and that there will be less snow. My son being a snow lover was visable upset (even though here on Long Island, NY we had numerous record breaking snowstorms and blizzards last 10 years including a historic one just last year) He had to write 3 things that he could do to make a contribution to help stop greehouse gas emissions. Being furious and not wanting to go to his school to berate his teacher I told my son to list these 3 things that he could do.
1) Walk 3 miles to school in 10 degrees instead of taking the bus.
2) Don’t use any electricity or heat so you can freeze while not being able cook, watch tv, take a hot shower, or do your homework because the lights are off.
3) most importantly, Don’t breathe or fart because thats the biggest contribution he is making to releasing green house gasses.
I am curious to see his teaches comments when he sees this.

This is why American kids are losing out in math and science scores. Once we were taught “The Three R’s”, and now it is “The Three C’s”, Climate Change, condoms, and communism.
