I’m surprised. I would have expected some increase in temperature due to fiddling with the data and UHI. To not see any rise would suggest the temperatures in West Texas are actually cooling.

When a lefty imagines something, it becomes their reality. They live within their dreams, abandoning the real world because it does not conform to their fantasies. Doing this resolves the cognitive dissonance that would otherwise disprove their belief system. So Hayhoe just tells herself that “nearly every station we look at” shows an increase, when in fact, she may have found only one or two after an exhaustive search.
She can just refer to those few stations which preserve the fantasy, and ignore everything else. Simples. If you point out the obvious, a crisis occurs within their pea brain, and they default to the “denier” or “consensus” screech, and return to the fantasy.

Hayhoe is smart enough to realize that telling the truth about the global warming fantasy would not be a good career move. So she goes along with the now-discredited AGW theory promoted by the inner circle of taxpayer-funded climastrologists now contaminating the halls of NASA, NOAA and various universities. In the process, she’s managed to squander whatever credibility she once had as a meteorologist.
I did not know she ever had any. All I have heard from her is the broken record. Maybe one day she will be right for ONE DAY!
