Won’t that make more snakes. I thought snakes love mice, for dinner.
“The mice are stuffed with 80mg of paracetamol, the mild pain medication, which is deadly to brown tree snakes.
The rodents were tied to miniature cardboard parachutes designed to land in branches, where the tree-climbing snakes could easily find them.”
Did they also get tiny cardboard helmets?
And what’s going to eat the plague of mice that will follow?
A plague of dead mice is even worse!
The astonishing thing is that the mice cost $1,000 each! $8M to deliver 8,000 dead mice to Guam. I wish I had that contract and a large suitcase.
No, I think it is worse than that. They said 8 million per year. So each mouse is at least $4K each. That’s only if they do a drop every year. Let’s see, with 13,000 snakes per acre and say that 4 snakes eat each mouse, you can’t even rid one acre of snakes. Fucking ridiculous plan.
It is the entire US that will soon tip over.

All the extra weight of those mice might just take Guam beyond the tipping point….. especially if they all run to one side, which will be hard since I think they’re dead to begin with. But the snakes could eat them, then go to one side of the island to die, and there you go, tipsville.
somehow, I see a law of unintended consequences coming…
And all because Guam has gone off the Rails –
